Second, marriedindividuals are required to be tested for HIV/AIDS upon the request of theirspouses. Ensuring that all HIV testing is confidential, conducted with informedconsent, and accompanied by counseling is widely recognized as integral toeffective HIV prevention and treatment strategies.
